I’m Lars-Erik, I’m 24 and I live in Oslo, Norway.
I just graduated from Uni and will start working as a science and maths teacher at a high school in town from january. I finally bought a good camera a few months back, and the results can be seen on my deviantart site. Other than that, I’m a music nerd and beer snob.
This comment exchange thing seems like a really good idea, so I’m looking forward to participating and sharing works and comments with you all!

Welcome here! (Again)
I’m glad to have a fellow scandinavian here on the exchange! (I’m Swedish. ^^ But let’s stick to english for the other’s sake shall we?) Congrats on graduating by the way!
So do you have any special type of things you like to photograph or do you shoot as you go along? Any inspirations in terms of art or just generally what inspires you in your work? Music no doubt.

Great to have you! and yes, english would be prefered… mostly because I feel left out when I can’t understand what’s going on.
Awesome work, and It’s too cool that you’re a teacher. I have a lot of respect for anyone who can put up with kids that act like I used to. My hat is off you to my friend.

Thank you!
I pretty much just shoot as I go. I have had my themed days, but I’m allways more pleased with the result when I just go out without any strict rules for what I am shooting that day.
I don’t have this one big inspiration that really shines through in what I do, I just do what I feel like at the tme. Music does inspire, I’ve been meaning to do this series with titles from songs (not that a lot of them aren’t allready..) for some time, I just haven’t had the time yet.
Otherwise, I just try to capture pretty things!

Hehe, thanks. They’re not as terrible as most people think really. Atleast they haven’t been to me. Yet.

Bah, double post for whatever reason. Not sure how to delete it either, not used to this forum template.

Hi! Welcome to the comment exchange! That’s cool that you’re a science person too. The real question, though, is that you said you were a music nerd - are you a band geek then, too? and if so, what instrument?

Actually, no. Never did well with music myself. Had a guitar for a few years, sold it when I didn’t progress anymore. If I ever did start with music, I’d definitely look into playing drums. I find myself listening to the drumming most of the time, for some reason?
How about you?

Very much a band geek. I play the clarinet and saxophone and mess around with various other instruments. I’ve almost always been in a wind ensamble since I was12, but my favorite groups to play with are marching bands and pep bands.

That’s cool, I’ve always wanted to learn how to play the sax but never got the chance. Tried the trumpet for a while but it wasn’t for me in the long run. Played any string instruments?

Every now and then I attempt to play my violin, but I obsess over tuning it before I ever practice, and almost every time I do that I end up beaking the A-string. Aaarg! It’s a cheap student grade violin which might be the cause of that. Or it could just be that I’m not very good at telling where the pitch is when I tune. As for acctually playing, i’m at a very, very beginner level and have never played in a group.

I see.
I’ve always wanted to learn how to play the violin but never got my hands on one. Is it very difficult?
